Corporate Security Group operates in full compliance with all applicable Queensland and Commonwealth legislation governing the provision of security services. Our licences, obligations, and regulatory framework are detailed below.
Licence Categories
All security activities conducted by Corporate Security Group are authorised under the relevant licence categories issued by the Queensland Police Service — Weapons Licensing Branch, as required by the Security Providers Act 1993 (Qld).
Security Firm Licence
QPS LicensedIssuing Authority: Queensland Police Service — Weapons Licensing Branch
Legislation: Security Providers Act 1993 (Qld), s. 9
Corporate Security Group holds a security firm licence authorising it to carry on the business of providing security services in Queensland. This licence is required before any security activities can be conducted commercially.
Security Officer (Crowd Controller)

Legislation: Security Providers Act 1993 (Qld), s. 9; Security Providers Regulation 2008 (Qld)
All crowd controllers employed or engaged by Corporate Security Group hold individual crowd controller licences. Crowd controllers operating at licensed premises do so in accordance with the Liquor Act 1992 (Qld) and the conditions of the relevant liquor licence.
Security Officer (Bodyguard)

Where bodyguard or close personal protection services are provided, operatives hold the appropriate bodyguard licence category.
Security Officer (Armoured Vehicle)

Cash-in-transit and armoured vehicle operations are conducted by operatives holding the armoured vehicle licence category, in accordance with strict operational protocols.
Weapons Authority (Firearms)

Legislation: Weapons Act 1990 (Qld)
Armed guard services are provided only by operatives holding a current weapons authority under the Weapons Act 1990 (Qld). All firearms are stored, transported, and used in strict compliance with Queensland weapons legislation.
Clients may request verification of operative licences at any time. Licence details can be independently verified through the Queensland Police Service — Weapons Licensing Branch.
Regulatory Compliance Framework
Our operations are governed by a comprehensive compliance framework aligned with Queensland and Commonwealth law.
Security Providers Act 1993 (Qld)
- All security activities are conducted under a valid security firm licence.
- Every operative holds an individual licence for their specific activity category.
- Licence details are available to clients upon written request.
- Corporate Security Group does not engage unlicensed persons to perform security activities.
- Licence conditions are strictly observed at all times.
Liquor Act 1992 (Qld) — Licensed Premises
- Crowd control at licensed premises is performed by licenced crowd controllers only.
- Operatives are trained in the responsible service of alcohol (RSA) obligations relevant to security personnel.
- Entry refusal and removal of patrons is conducted in accordance with the Act and venue licence conditions.
- Incident registers are maintained as required by applicable legislation.
Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld)
- Corporate Security Group maintains a comprehensive WHS management system.
- All operatives receive site-specific inductions and ongoing safety training.
- Notifiable incidents are reported to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) as required.
- Risk assessments are conducted prior to the commencement of high-risk activities.
- Clients are advised of their shared WHS obligations as persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU).
Weapons Act 1990 (Qld)
- Firearms are only carried by operatives holding a current weapons authority.
- All weapons are stored, transported, and used in strict compliance with Queensland weapons legislation.
- Weapons registers and records are maintained as required by law.
- Use of force involving weapons is subject to strict internal protocols and legal requirements.
