By engaging our services, entering into a service agreement, or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Corporate Security Group operates in accordance with the Security Providers Act 1993 (Qld), the Security Providers Regulation 2008 (Qld), the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld), the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and all other applicable Commonwealth, State, and Territory legislation.

1. Licensing and Regulatory Compliance

Corporate Security Group holds all licences required under the Security Providers Act 1993 (Qld) for the security activities it conducts. All security officers, crowd controllers, and operatives engaged by Corporate Security Group hold current individual security licences issued by the Queensland Police Service (QPS) Weapons Licensing Branch, as required under the Act.

Clients are advised that under the Security Providers Act 1993 (Qld), it is an offence to engage or employ an unlicensed person to carry out security activities. Corporate Security Group maintains records of all operative licences and makes these available to clients upon request.

Clients must not direct or instruct Corporate Security Group personnel to perform activities outside the scope of their individual licence category. Any request to perform unlicensed activities will be declined.

2. Scope of Services

The specific security services to be provided, including service type, hours, locations, and personnel requirements, will be set out in a written service agreement or quotation. Services may include, but are not limited to: mobile patrols, static guarding, alarm monitoring and response, crowd control and event security, cash-in-transit, CCTV installation and monitoring, security risk assessments, and armed guard services.

All services are provided in accordance with the relevant licence categories held by Corporate Security Group and its operatives under the Security Providers Act 1993 (Qld). Services involving the use of firearms are provided only by operatives holding the appropriate weapons authority under the Weapons Act 1990 (Qld).

Corporate Security Group reserves the right to decline or discontinue any service that would require personnel to act outside the scope of their licence, in breach of applicable law, or in a manner inconsistent with professional security industry standards.

3. Client Obligations

Clients engaging Corporate Security Group agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information regarding the site, event, or situation requiring security services.
  • Ensure that Corporate Security Group personnel have safe and lawful access to all areas required to perform the contracted services.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, including workplace health and safety obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld), in relation to the site or event where services are delivered.
  • Not direct Corporate Security Group personnel to perform activities outside the scope of their licence or in breach of applicable law.
  • Notify Corporate Security Group promptly of any changes to site conditions, risk profile, or operational requirements that may affect the delivery of services.
  • Pay all invoices in accordance with agreed payment terms.

4. Use of Force and Powers of Security Officers

Security officers engaged by Corporate Security Group are not police officers and do not hold police powers. Their authority is limited to that conferred by applicable legislation, including the right to detain a person under the Criminal Code Act 1899 (Qld) in circumstances of citizen's arrest, and to exercise reasonable force in self-defence or defence of others as permitted by law.

Crowd controllers hold specific powers under the Liquor Act 1992 (Qld) and the Security Providers Act 1993 (Qld) when operating at licensed premises, including the power to refuse entry and to remove persons from licensed premises in accordance with the Act.

Corporate Security Group personnel are trained to use minimum necessary force in all circumstances. Any use of force will be documented and reported in accordance with our incident reporting procedures and applicable legal obligations.

5. Crowd Control at Licensed Premises

Where Corporate Security Group provides crowd control services at licensed premises, services are delivered in accordance with the Liquor Act 1992 (Qld), the Security Providers Act 1993 (Qld), and any conditions attached to the relevant liquor licence. Crowd controllers operating at licensed premises hold the appropriate crowd controller licence category issued by the Queensland Police Service.

Venue operators are responsible for ensuring that their liquor licence conditions are communicated to Corporate Security Group prior to the commencement of services. Corporate Security Group will not be liable for any breach of liquor licence conditions arising from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the venue operator.

6. Cash-in-Transit and Armed Services

Cash-in-transit (CIT) and armed guard services are provided only by operatives holding the relevant licence categories and, where applicable, the appropriate weapons authority under the Weapons Act 1990 (Qld). These services are subject to additional terms and conditions set out in the relevant service agreement.

Clients engaging CIT or armed services must comply with all applicable security and safety protocols communicated by Corporate Security Group. Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination of the service.

7. Workplace Health and Safety

Corporate Security Group is committed to the health, safety, and welfare of its personnel, clients, and members of the public in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld). Clients, as persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU), share responsibility for ensuring that the workplace where services are delivered is safe and without risks to health.

Clients must notify Corporate Security Group of any known hazards, risks, or site-specific safety requirements prior to the commencement of services. Corporate Security Group reserves the right to withdraw personnel from any site where an immediate risk to health or safety cannot be adequately controlled.

8. Surveillance and Privacy

Where Corporate Security Group installs, operates, or monitors CCTV or other surveillance systems, such activities are conducted in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, the Invasion of Privacy Act 1971 (Qld), and all other applicable surveillance and privacy legislation.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that appropriate signage is displayed at monitored premises in accordance with applicable law. Corporate Security Group will advise clients of signage requirements upon request.

CCTV footage and surveillance records are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Footage will not be disclosed to third parties except where required by law, authorised by the client, or necessary to prevent a serious threat to life or safety.

9. Incident Reporting

Corporate Security Group maintains incident reporting procedures in accordance with industry standards and applicable legal obligations. All significant incidents occurring during the provision of services will be documented and reported to the client in a timely manner.

Where an incident involves a notifiable incident under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld) — including a fatality, serious injury, or dangerous incident — Corporate Security Group will comply with its obligations to notify Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) as required by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Corporate Security Group's liability for any loss or damage arising from the provision of services is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific services giving rise to the claim.

Corporate Security Group does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or applicable Queensland consumer protection legislation.

Security services involve inherent risks. Corporate Security Group takes all reasonable steps to mitigate these risks but cannot guarantee the prevention of all criminal activity, loss, or damage.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate a service agreement in accordance with the notice provisions set out in that agreement. Corporate Security Group may terminate services immediately where a client breaches these Terms, directs personnel to act unlawfully, or creates an unsafe working environment.

12. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation before commencing formal proceedings. If the dispute cannot be resolved by negotiation, either party may refer the matter to mediation or, where applicable, to the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) or a court of competent jurisdiction in Queensland.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
